Review of Classic Blackjack

With everyone trying to create all of these fancy, over-the-top online blackjack games, it's nice that Classic Blackjack isn't so flashy and distracting. Instead, Classic Blackjack is as it sounds: it's a traditional blackjack game that is meant to give people the feel of a real casino from the comfort of their own home. But this isn't to say that the graphics or music isn't up to date because the graphics are extremely sharp and the music is very easy on the ears.

Moving on to the rules of this online blackjack game, everything is pretty standard as there is one 52-card deck used and just one hand is dealt per game. The dealer must stand on 17 while the player can double down on 9, 10, and 11. Regular wins provide a 1:1 payout plus the bet, a blackjack win provides a 3:2 payout plus one's bet, while insurance wins pay out at 2:1 plus a person's wager.

Players should definitely enjoy the wide betting range offered in Classic Blackjack since one can wager as little as a dollar while the high rollers can get action for up to $200. This ensures that people of all bankrolls can get in on this fantastic online blackjack rendition without feeling restricted by tight betting limits.

Basically anybody from the ultra-serious players to those that just want to have a good time will like Classic Blackjack. There is nothing overly fancy about the approach to this game, and there are no funky rules which will have veteran blackjack players scratching their heads. And if you've never played blackjack online before then Classic Blackjack is the perfect introduction to the Internet version of the game.

Example:

  1. The bet is 30 credits.  The player is dealt a Jack of Diamonds and an Ace of Spades.  This completes a Blackjack.  The dealer is dealt a Seven of Hearts and a Ten of Diamonds.  The dealer has seventeen.
    • The player wins with a Blackjack.  The player wins 45 credits plus the original bet amount.
    • The total win amounts is 45 credits (blackjack 3:2 of 30) + 30 credits (original bet) = 75 credits
  2. The bet is 20 credits.  The player is dealt a Jack of Diamonds and Seven of Spades.  The hand is seventeen.  The player stands.  The dealer is dealt an Eight of Hearts and a Five of Diamonds.  The dealer hits and is dealt a King of Clubs.  The dealer’s hand totals twenty-three.
    • The dealer’s hand is bust.  The player wins, the dealer has bust. The player wins 20 credits plus the original bet amount.
    • The total win amounts is 20 credits (Standard Win 1:1 of 10) + 20 credits (original bet) = 40 credits.
  3. The bet is 10 credits.  The player is dealt a Ten of Diamonds and a Seven of Spades.  The hand is seventeen.  The dealer’s face-up card is an Ace of Hearts.  The player takes insurance on the dealer getting Blackjack.  The insurance bet costs half the original bet amount. Therefore the player’s bet is 5 credits.  The dealer’s face-down card is a Ten of Clubs.  The dealer wins.
    • The player receives 10 credits from the insurance bet.  The insurance bet pays out at odds of 2:1, plus the original insurance amount.  The player loses the original bet amount.
    • The total payout is 5 insurance bet credits (insurance bet ½ of 10) + 10 credits = 15 credits.
